According to the Chinese calendar,
2026 is the yang Fire Horse year (aka Crimson Horse), but it should be remembered that the start of the yang Fire Horse year does not coincide with the beginning of the western year (January 1st). The astrological year of the yang Fire Horse starts on February 4th 2026, and will end on February 3rd, 2027. So, it is important to remember that from January 1st, 2026 until February 3rd, 2026, we still are in the previous astrological year, the yin Wood Snake year.
The Horse is the fifth zodiac animal of the seasonal cycle
in the Chinese calendar, it is the second summer animal, and is mainly connected to the Fire energy. In the year of the Fire Horse, the dominant energies are Fire and Earth, especially yin and yang Fire and yin Earth. Metal, Wood, and Water are absent, although they appear in monthly transits. Therefore, the annual energy is well-defined and very pure — so the effects of Fire will be evident.
2026 Feng Shui General Assessment: Tai Sui, Sui Po and San Shas
In Feng Shui, we say that in 2026 the Lord of the Year is the Horse, also called the Tai Sui or Grand Duke of the Year. The Horse is associated with south direction, specifically standing at south 3. Thus, the whole sector (or South Palace) is associated with the Tai Sui.

How can these Shas manifest themselves?
Robbery Sha indicates the possibility of something actually being stolen from you, but much more often, the possibility of losing something we have, or something we thought we had already gained.
This can also be on a metaphorical level, so not necessarily a loss of a physical asset, such as money, but it can be something that is stolen on an abstract level: an idea, a recognition, a promotion.
Calamity Sha is the strongest type of Sha, and is related to problems of various kinds, setbacks, difficulties.
Finally, the Annual Sha or Earth Sha is always connected to delays, slowdowns, blockages, difficulties in moving forward, and things of that nature.
The last piece of information concerns the flying stars. The most problematic star is star 5, which is located in the south this year, disturbing the Tai Sui. Star 5 is associated with unexpected events, disasters, and sudden changes. Therefore, this year, the north is the most difficult direction to deal with, and the south is also a sensitive direction.

Most challenged areas and directions in 2026
First of all, the north and south areas should remain untouched this year; therefore, any changes (even minor ones) to the home’s interior should be avoided in these areas, such as demolitions, moving furniture, or changing functions (for example, converting a study into a bedroom). This is even more important for homes facing south or north.

2026 Feng Shui – Flying Stars
First, you have to determine the back and front of your house, which is usually quite intuitive. If you do not know how to do this, you can ask for help on our Community. You can join the Community for free.
Once you have determined the back and the facing, draw a 3×3 grid on the floor plan of your house. This grid is called “Ba Gua”. Then, using a common compass, mark the north direction, and then mark all other directions clockwise. In this way, you will associate each of the nine boxes with a specific geographical direction.
In Feng Shui, each of these nine boxes is called a ‘Palace’.
Do not place the Ba Gua with the north where the front door is, as you read on the Internet or in some book, this has nothing to do with Feng Shui, it is a completely wrong method that you should definitely avoid. This is very important!

2026 Feng Shui North Palace
Yearly star 6 yang Metal is visiting the North Palace. It is a good star, bringing authority, gaining power, a career, power, leadership, determination, and an improved reputation. It favors a military career and artistic success, as well as careers in large companies or corporations. It promotes health and a long life. 2026 Feng Shui Southeast Palace
The annual star 9 Fire is visiting the Southeast Palace. Star 9 is associated with activity, help and assistance, prosperity, new ideas, and positive developments. In this Palace, star 9 is particularly conducive to expression and activity.
It is a yang room, best suited to daytime activities; less suitable for rest and relaxation — it can lead to excessive excitement and exhaustion, with stress on the heart meridian. Very conducive to creativity, especially in technical and scientific fields; also suitable for research, development, new ideas, and earnings. However, beware of stress and overexcitement. This is the best area in 2026.
2026 Feng Shui South Palace
The annual star 5 Fire/Earth is visiting the South Palace. This is the worst star. It is associated with sudden and unexpected changes, accidents, bad luck, perversion, disasters, but also with spirituality and personal evolution. Don’t make any changes in this area, even small ones. If possible, don’t use this area. Don’t add the color red. If you must use this room, do so only for quiet activities. 2026 Feng Shui Central Palace
Yearly star 1 Water is visiting the Central Palace. This is a very favorable star, bringing development, growth, expansion, studies, innovation, fame, and success. It supports academic success, especially in literature and the arts. It favors studies and the expansion of your social network. This area is also very good for long-term growth, income, and career success. There is also potential for earnings if this is your work zone.
If you have a specific goal, you can reinforce star 1 with a small fountain in the center of the home. The water should always be moving. Use the lunisolar calendar to select a good date to activate the fountain. Remember: never place a fountain in the bedroom, long hallways, secondary rooms, or stairways.
If the central area forms a single space with the north area, that’s even better. If the center is free and open, the effect is better. If the center is reduced, blocked, cut off, or unusable, that’s worse, because you lose many of these benefits.
2026 Feng Shui Southwest Palace

The annual star 3 yang Wood is visiting the West Palace. Star 3 is associated with competition, assertiveness, perseverance, ambition, conflict, invention, hierarchy, determination, impulsiveness, stubbornness, and corruption. It is unfavorable in this Palace.
If this area is occupied by a teenage girl, be careful about who she associates with. This area is particularly unfavorable for work, lawsuits, and reputation. It is not suitable for a bedroom for sons: it could cause serious tension with the mother. If the South, Southwest, and West Palaces form a single space, things are even worse.
2026 Feng Shui Northwest Palace
Yearly star 2 Yin Earth is visiting the Northwest Palace. Star 2 has mixed qualities. It is associated with activating your social network, nurturing and nurturing, fertility, wealth, health, maturation, and completion; but also with illnesses and blockages.
