Traditionally, at the end of the year

Ba Zi experts release advice and suggestions for the coming year. The best known – though not the most important – Chinese horoscope is the one calculated based the person’s year of birth.

Here you can plot your Ba Zi chart using Ba Zi Calculator free.

The 12 animals (signs) of the Chinese zodiac are: Rat or Mouse, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit (sometimes known as Hare or Cat), Dragon (the only imaginary animal), Snake, Horse, Goat or Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Boar or Pig.

The 12 animals of the Chinese horoscope

cannot be superimposed on the 12 signs of the zodiac in Western astrology, because they do not correspond in time in the annual cycle. For example, the Monkey runs indicatively from 6 August to 6 September, while the Leo sign ends on August 22nd, when the Virgo sign begins.

The analysis based on the birth year is one possibility, and has deep roots in Chinese culture and mentality. However, to get a more accurate prediction, you must refer to the person’s entire birth chart. Usually, the year-based analysis is supplemented with the analysis based on the Day Master.
